# Pawse

> Pawse is a free anime-style desktop pet for macOS (Apple Silicon) and Windows (64-bit). Pick one of eight pets (cat, dog, panda, hamster, Shiba Inu, kitsune, bunny, red panda). It lives on your screen, follows your cursor, taps along as you type, and reacts when AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex and Cursor start and finish work. It also has stretch breaks with a guided one minute routine, your own reminders, a Pomodoro focus timer, and 38 collectible hats earned through gift boxes. - Price: free. No subscription, no ads. Downloads need a quick Google sign-in. Optional Pawse Plus: a one-time purchase from US$4.99 (pay what you want above that) via Razorpay that unlocks 7 Plus hats (Golden Paw Crown, Tiny UFO, Witch Hat, Fox Mask, Cat Ears, Bubble Tea, Heart Crown) plus future Plus hats. Plus is activated in the app with a license key, checked offline. Every other feature is free.
- Privacy: runs locally. It counts keystrokes only to drive animations and stats, never records which keys, and has no telemetry. Its only network request is feedback the user chooses to send.

- Your own reminders at a time (once, daily, weekdays, chosen days) or every few minutes, with snooze and a quiet mode.
- Pomodoro focus timer (15 to 60 minute sessions, short and long breaks) with the countdown under the pet and in the menu bar.
- Paws, gift boxes and 38 collectible hats (Common to Legendary), levels, a gentle daily streak and daily stats (keystrokes, top WPM, focus minutes).
